Duro Terminology

Duro Explanation What is a “Duro” anyway?

  • Du·rom·e·ter: a material’s resistance to permanent indentation and durability of a material (typically polymers, elastomers and rubbers)

  • “Duro” numbers denote the hardness within a value range scaling from 0 to 100, with higher values indicating a harder material.

  • Different “Duro” levels shown here (72 Duro/40 Duro), give the right application, provide the correct amount of support to effectively combat Noise Vibration (vertical frequencies), any imbalance of height, the shelf life of the machine in use, and the safety of employees using them.
  • The harder (72A Duro) High Damping pad on the left side, is shown absorbing and dispersing vibrations upon impact. The ball has virtually no rebound after impact. The ball on the right is quieter upon impact, but does not dampen as well
